Gerard Butler stars as a satellite engineer who learns that the world's climate-control satellites are malfunctioning, forcing him to team up with his estranged brother (Jim Sturgess) to stop a man-made storm from destroying the Earth. While the engineer travels into space to fix the satellites, his brother discovers a plot to assassinate the President of the United States (Andy Garcia). Abbie Cornish will play a Secret Service agent who is also the brother's girlfriend, while Ed Harris is portraying the Secretary of State.Read More
Sam Worthington, Jim Sturgess and Ryan Kwanten have signed on to star alongside Anthony Hopkins in Kidnapping Freddy Heineken.
The plot is based on the true story of Dutch beer mogul Alfred "Freddy" Heineken (Anthony Hopkins), who was kidnapped along with his driver Ab Doderer in 1983. They were both released after the ransom of a whopping 35 Dutch guilders was paid, which is the equivalent of $50 million today. The abductors were eventually caught and prosecuted. Jim Sturgess has signed on to star alongside Kate Beckinsale in Eliza Graves, which is loosely based on Edgar Allan Poe's 1845 short story The System of Doctor Tarr and Professor Fethe.
The story centers on a recent Harvard Medical School graduate (Jim Sturgess) who lands a job as an intern at a mental institute. He becomes obsessed with the title character (Kate Beckinsale), although he doesn't know that the hospital has been overrun by the patients, who are now posing as doctors.Read More

Today, we have word that only one of those actors, Jim Sturgess, remains in consideration for the part, with Chuck star Zachary Levi emerging as another top contender.
While Zachary Levi's inclusion comes slightly out of left field, Marvel has been pleased with his work as Fandral on Thor: The Dark World. We reported in June that the actor replaced Joshua Dallas, who was forced to bow out because of his commitment to the ABC series Once Upon a Time.Read More

James Marsden, Garrett Hedlund, and Sullivan Stapleton have also reportedly shown interest in the role, although it is not known if they are planning to audition. Peter Quill was a former NASA astronaut who eventually comes to learn that his father is an alien, which leads him into outer space. Actor Jim Sturgess has been confirmed to star in Cloud Atlas for directors Andy Wachowski, Lana Wachowski, and Tom Tykwer.
The story follows six separate characters through multiple time frames between the early 19th Century and a post-apocalyptic 21st Century. Andy Wachowski, Lana Wachowski, and Tom Tykwer will all direct from their adapted screenplay.
