Director Roland Emmerich takes a break from blockbuster science fiction with Anonymous, a period conspiracy thriller about the nobleman whom many historians believe is the secret author behind the works of William Shakespeare. Rhys Ifans stars as the Earl of Oxford, Edward De Vere. Long shackled by the machinations of the Elizabethan court, De Vere secretly stages his plays under the moniker Anonymous. These works stir up the past sins of Queen Elizabeth, played by mother and daughter actresses, Vanessa Redgrave and Joely Richardson, at different points of her life. The political intrigue takes an unexpected turn when De Vere's work is ruthlessly grafted by an opportunistic actor, William Shakespeare (Rafe Spall).

Gwyneth Paltrow Lands ‘Thanks for Sharing’

Actresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Joely Richardson have joined the cast of Thanks for Sharing for Class 5 Films and Olympus Pictures.

The story centers around a group of strangers who become fast friends in a recovery group as they all try to overcome their sex addiction. The actresses join a cast that includes Mark Ruffalo and Tim Robbins, who both signed on in May. Gwyneth Paltrow is set to play Phoebe, a businesswoman who falls for Mark Ruffalo, while Joely Richardson will play Tim Robbins' wife.

‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ Adds Joely Richardson and Steven Berkoff

Director David Fincher revealed to Swedish site that Joely Richardson, Steven Berkoff and David Dencik have all joined the cast of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

It wasn't said which characters these new actors were portraying. They join a cast that already includes Daniel Craig, Rooney Mara, Robin Wright, Stellan Skarsgård and Christopher Plummer.
