Kevin Kline Joins ‘Last Vegas’

Kevin Kline is finalizing a deal to round out the main cast of Last Vegas, alongside Robert De Niro, Michael Douglas, and Morgan Freeman.

The story centers around an aging womanizer (Michael Douglas), who is the last of his friends to finally settle down and get married. Kevin Kline, Robert De Niro, and Morgan Freeman play his old buddies who reunite in Las Vegas for the wedding. No details were given regarding Kevin Kline's role, although we reported in April that Robert De Niro's character also falls for the bride, who is half their age.

Actor Kevin Kline has joined the cast of Frank or Francis for Sony Pictures and writer-director Charlie Kaufman.

The comedy is a parody of Hollywood musicals which centers around the online war between a successful filmmaker (Steve Carell) and a snarky blogger (Jack Black). Kevin Kline will play Richard Waller, the brother of fictional filmmaker Jonathan Waller, whose movie Hiroshima is the highest-grossing movie of all time.

Diane Keaton and Kevin Kline Headline ‘Darling Companion’

Werc Werk Works, the independent production and finance company helmed by CEO Elizabeth Redleaf, and Likely Story, the New York based production company headed by Anthony Bregman, jointly announced today that they will produce Darling Companion, written by Meg Kasdan and Lawrence Kasdan and to be directed by Lawrence Kasdan. Academy Award winners Kevin Kline and Diane Keaton as well as Academy Award nominee Richard Jenkins and two-time Emmy nominee Elisabeth Moss are set to star.

Darling Companion marks the third installment in Kasdan's consideration of his generation, following The Big Chill and Grand Canyon, as well as his sixth collaboration with Kevin Kline. The film will be produced by Anthony Bregman for Likely Story, Elizabeth Redleaf for Werc Werk Works and Lawrence Kasdan. Christine Walker, Meg Kasdan and John Kelly will serve as executive producers.

Ben Stiller's co-star in Greenberg, Greta Gerwig has joined Ivan Reitman's untitled comedy formerly known as Friends with Benefits, starring opposite Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher. Kevin Kline, Ophelia Lovibond and Ben Lawson have also been added to the cast, according to Variety.

The film centers of the question of whether two long-term friends can have a purely sexual relationship without falling in love.
