Kiefer Sutherland's statement shouldn't come as much of a surprise, since he revealed in December that he didn't see himself coming back to the Jack Bauer role, but then added he could always change his mind. As for the spinoff, it will follow a new male counter-terrorist agent who works alongside a veteran female agent. The lead female character will not be Kate Morgan, played by Yvonne Strahovski, but it's possible she could return for the spinoff as well. Original 24 writers/producers Manny Coto and Evan Katz are currently working on the script and they will also executive producer alongside Howard Gordon. There have also been rumblings about a 24 movie, but it isn't known if that project is in active development or not.Read More

He also said he wouldn't mind seeing the 2005 cult series Prison Break return in some capacity, but there are no concrete plans at the moment. It was also hinted that Fox may bring 24 back, after launching the successful 24: Live Another Day miniseries this past summer.

After 24 ended in 2010, a movie was often talked about. It was in pre-production for many years, with a script written. It just couldn't get itself in front of cameras for a variety of reasons. 24: Live Another Day eventually took the place of the movie and aired for 12 episodes, ending its run this past July. Shortly after it ended, executive producer Jon Cassar claimed a movie was still being planned. As of now, nothing has been confirmed by the studio. During the run of the miniseries, Kiefer Sutherland seemed slightly optimistic about a movie happening, calling it an 'ongoing situation'. While this looks like the end of Jack Bauer for now, its possible we may seem him resurrected in the next couple of years.Read More
