Game of Thrones stars Lena Headey and Charles Dance have joined the cast of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, which was just acquired by Screen Gems for U.S. distribution. No details were given for Lena Headey and Charles Dance's characters.
The project is adapted from Seth Grahame-Smith's novel of the same name, which takes Jane Austen's characters from her original novel Pride and Prejudice, and throws them into a zombie outbreak scenario. Lily James stars as Elizabeth Bennett, who is pressured by her family to marry a wealthy man, but her plans change when zombies begin to invade the countryside. Jack Huston is playing Wickham, a man who Elizabeth falls for as he trains her how to fight back against the zombies. The story, which was first published in the horror anthology I Shudder At Your Touch before appearing in Clive Barker's Books of Blood collection, follows a young woman who has the ability to transform the body shapes of other people at will.
