Last week, CBS issued a pilot order for their Limitless TV series, based on the 2011 feature film of the same name, which had the movie's director Neil Burger attached to direct the pilot episode. Today, Deadline reports that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Marc Webb has taken over the directorial duties on the pilot. Neil Burger was forced to drop out after scheduling complications arose with his Showtime drama pilot Billions, which is currently shooting in New York.
Neil Burger remains on board as an executive producer for the Limitless TV series, which will take a different approach to the story than the feature film. The movie followed a struggling writer (Bradley Cooper), who, with the help of an experimental drug, unlocks 100% of his brain's capabilities, which allows him to become an overnight financial genius. The series will center on a man named Brian Sinclair, who discovers the drug NZT, and becomes coerced by the government to use his incredible abilities to help the FBI solve cases every week.Read More
During the end credits for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, fans could use the Shazam app, which revealed a series of images teasing the villainous lineup for the upcoming Sinister Six movie. The images are believed to represent Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Rhino, Vulture, Kraven the Hunter and Mysterio. We also showed you a TV spot for the Target-exclusive Blu-ray release of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which includes a bonus disc that teases The Sinister Six. A video from that bonus disc has hit the web, where Marc Webb confirms Kraven and Mysterio are a part of The Sinister Six line-up.
When the images were first revealed, some thought that the mask actually belonged to Chameleon, but that was debunked shortly thereafter. However, we reported in April, soon after the images debuted, that The Sinister Six may change before production is scheduled to begin in January.Read More
Marc Webb was confirmed to direct the third installment of this rebooted franchise in February, although this is believed to be his last Spider-Man movie.

Naturally, Andrew Garfield will be back, although the actor will be nearly 35 years old when the next Spidey adventure hits the big screen in 2018. Jamie Foxx, who played the villainous Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, won't be back for The Amazing Spider-Man 3, but he may come back for The Sinister Six spin-off.Read More
