‘Ouija’ Gets Screenwriter Marti Noxon

Screenwriter Marti Noxon (Fright Night, I Am Number Four) has signed on to write Ouija for Hasbro.

We reported in August that Universal Pictures had dropped the project, but Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner revealed last month that the toy company is still actively developing Ouija. Hasbro made a similar move in September, hiring Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski to write Monopoly, another project which Universal dropped.

Screenwriter Marti Noxon got her start on Buffy the Vampire Slayer as a writer/story editor/director and, naturally, moved up the Hollywood food chain rapidly. She wrote for and/or produced such shows as Angel, Private Practice, Prison Break, and Mad Men.
