‘Captain America 3’: Martin Freeman Also in ‘Black Panther’?

Yesterday, we reported that Martin Freeman has joined Captain America: Civil War, but details regarding his role in the Marvel Phase Three sequel were not revealed. Today we have a new, unconfirmed report that says not only who Martin Freeman is playing in Captain America: Civil War, but what other movie he will return for. The actor is allegedly playing "some sort of interrogator," reportedly the comic book character Everett Ross, who will also be back for Black Panther.

In the comic books, Everett Ross was a U.S. Government agent who becomes assigned to Black Panther's homeland of Wakanda, and eventually becomes an expert on the African nation. Everett Ross also has a connection to Ulysses Klaue in the comics, a character who was established in the MCU in Avengers: Age of Ultron, played by Andy Serkis. While it hasn't been confirmed if Andy Serkis will return in Captain America: Civil War as Klaue, we do know that Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman will make his MCU debut in the sequel.

Martin Freeman Brings Bilbo to ‘The Office’ on ‘SNL’

Martin Freeman Brings Bilbo to ‘The Office’ on ‘SNL’

The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies star Martin Freeman hosted NBC's Saturday Night Live last night, where he reprised his role as Bilbo Baggins in a parody sketch dubbed The Office Middle Earth. After saving Middle-earth, Bilbo (Martin Freeman, Gandalf (Bobby Moynihan), Gollum (Taran Killam), Legolas (Kyle Mooney) and Tauriel (Kate McKinnon) take up office jobs. This is not only a parody of The Hobbit trilogy, but also of the original U.K. series The Office, which Martin Freeman starred in.

In the sketch, Bilbo reveals his hatred for Gollum, as he pulls a few office pranks on his co-worker. Unfortunately, original The Office creator and star Ricky Gervais didn't stop by to put in an appearance, but it's still a humorous take on both The Hobbit trilogy and The Office. This was the last Saturday Night Live episode of 2014, although it isn't known yet who will host the first 2015 episode, and when it may air.
