The comics follow Yorick, an escape artist who is the last survivor of a mysterious plague that has killed every male mammal in the world. The sole Y-chromosomed survivor is a headstrong young man, the son of a U.S. congresswoman and an amateur escape artist. Sony Pictures has hired TV writers Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaia (Human Target, Charlie's Angels) to write a new Zorro movie.
The project isn't connected to Sony's The Mask of Zorro and The Legend of Zorro. Instead it will be adapted from Isabel Allende's 2005 novel.
