Joel Edgerton and Michelle Williams have signed on to star in The Double Hour, a remake of the 2009 Italian thriller of the same name.

The story follows a couple (Joel Edgerton and Michelle Williams) whose secret rendezvous is interrupted by a well-planned robbery. Filippo Timi and Kseniya Rappoport starred in the original film The Double Hour, which received a domestic release in 2011.

Michelle Williams is in talks to star in the period drama Suite Francaisse for filmmaker Saul Dibb (The Duchess).

If a deal is finalized the Oscar-nominated actress will portray Lucille Angellier, a young woman in Nazi-occupied France who falls for a young German soldier while her husband is off fighting the war. Her only escape is playing the piano, which piques the interest of the soldier who was a composer before the war.

2012 BAFTA Awards Winners

The Artist was named Best Film at tonight's Orange British Academy Film Awards hosted by Stephen Fry, held at London's Royal Opera House. The film also won six other awards: Director, Original Screenplay, Original Music, Cinematography, Costume Design as well as a performance award for Jean Dujardin who won the Leading Actor BAFTA.

Meryl Streep was awarded the BAFTA for Leading Actress for her performance as Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady; the film was also honoured in the Make-Up & Hair category.

‘My Week with Marilyn’ Blu-ray and DVD Debuts March 13th

Anchor Bay Entertainment and The Weinstein Company announced today the Blu-ray and DVD release of the "warm, wonderful and enchanting" (Rex Reed, The New York Observer) film, My Week with Marilyn, starring three-time Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams (Blue Valentine), who is "flawless, brilliant and exhilarating" (Bruce Handy, Vanity Fair) in the iconic title role.
