Just weeks after the first trailer arrived, Paramount Pictures has released two new character posters for Zoolander 2. While we don't get to see Derek Zoolander's poster quite yet, Yahoo! Movies has debuted character posters for the new character Valentina, played by Penélope Cruz and the returning supermodel Hansel, played by Owen Wilson. While Hansel is enjoying the perks of life as a fashion icon, Valentina is ready to spring into action on her motorcycle.
The sequel centers on Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) and Hansel (Owen Wilson), who are recruited by Valentina (Penelope Cruz), an Interpol agent and former swimwear model, to stop a deranged killer who is targeting the most beautiful people in the world. The first trailer revealed that this assassin starts his killing spree with none other than pop star Justin Bieber, who was revealed in a set photo posted by star/director Ben Stiller back in April. Other celebrities this killer has bumped off include Usher Raymond, Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus.Read More
Back in November, when it was reported that the long-awaited sequel Zoolander 2 is finally moving forward, we also found out that Penélope Cruz had joined the cast. The actress was never confirmed until today, when star/co-writer/director Ben Stiller revealed on his Twitter and Instagram pages that Penélope Cruz has in fact joined the cast. Unfortunately, no details were released regarding who she may be playing.
She joins a cast that includes Ben Stiller (Derek Zoolander), Owen Wilson (Hansel), Will Ferrell (Mugatu) and Christine Taylor (Matilda), who are reprising their roles from the original 2001 comedy Zoolander. The news of Penélope Cruz's confirmation comes just a few days after Ben Stiller announced another new cast member, Cyrus Arnold, who is playing Derek and Matilda's son, Derek Jr. The very end of Zoolander showed Derek Jr. as a newborn, with the sequel set 15 years after the original.Read More

Back in June, Yahoo reported that actress Penélope Cruz was rumored to play the next Bond Girl in Bond 24, although that report was debunked just a few weeks later. As it turns out, that initial report may have been true after all, with Premiere France spotting the actress' name on Sony's recent release schedule update, where she was listed next to confirmed stars Daniel Craig (007/James Bond), Ralph Fiennes (M) and Naomie Harris (Moneypenny).
If it turns out to be true, Penélope Cruz, who turns 40 later this month, will be the oldest Bond girl in franchise history. Her husband Javier Bardem portrayed 007's nemesis Silva in 2012's Skyfall. Back in October, we reported that Kate Upton and Helen Flanagan were in contention for the coveted role, but we haven't heard anything else regarding their involvement since then. There is also a new report from Aftonbladet.se that Swedish actresses Ida Engvoll and Disa Östrand have tested for the female lead.Read More
