‘Supergirl’ Gets Peter Facinelli as Maxwell Lord

Peter Facinelli is moving to National City, joining the cast of the highly anticipated upcoming CBS/Warner Bros. Television action/drama series Supergirl in the recurring role of DC Comics character Maxwell Lord. The announcement was made at Comic-Con 2015 during the Supergirl portion of the three-hour Warner Bros. Television Presents A Night of DC Entertainment special event in Hall H on Saturday, July 11.

Peter Facinelli Joins ‘Freezer’

Envision Media Arts (EMA) announced today that Peter Facinelli will co-star in Freezer, an action/thriller shooting this month in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Facinelli joins Dylan McDermott in the film directed by Mikael Salomon from a script by Tom Doganoglu and Shane Weisfeld. Lee Nelson and David Buelow will produce for Envision Media. Yuliya Snigir (A Good Day to Die Hard) also joins the cast.

Robert (McDermott), an everyday guy, finds himself tested beyond human endurance when he awakens to find himself locked in an industrial freezer by Russian thugs. They insist he returns the $8 million dollars he stole from them, the only problem is, Robert has no idea what they are talking about. Surprised as anyone would be, Robert finds he is not alone in the freezer when he finds Sam (Facinelli) hiding behind a series of boxes. Unsure of each other, but stuck in a battle together, the two must join forces and fight for their lives before freezing to death, as the truth slowly reveals itself.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 is set to open this Friday, November 18th. In the film, actor Peter Facinelli reprises his popular role as Dr. Carlisle Cullen, founder of the Olympic Coven and adoptive father of vampire heartthrob Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). He is now set to take on Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) as his daughter-in-law, and will have to fight off both Jacob Black's werewolf pack and The Volturi in saving Edward and Bella's unborn child Renesmee.

Peter Facinelli Planning Whitey Bulger Biopic

Whitey Bulger, the former mob kingpin accused of 19 murders from the 1970s and 1980s and a raft of other crimes, was arrested last week in California after being on the run for 16 years.

"Street Soldier: My Life as an Enforcer for Whitey Bulger and the Boston Irish Mob" was written by one-time boxer and drug-dealer Edward Mackenzie Jr., with authors Phyllis Karas and Ross Muscato.

‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ Cast Settle Contract Dispute

These cast members join Billy Burke as Charlie Swan.

Academy Award winner Bill Condon will direct The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn based on the fourth novel in author Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series, starring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. The project is currently being written by Melissa Rosenberg with Wyck Godfrey, Karen Rosenfelt, and Stephanie Meyer producing. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn is slated to be released November 18, 2011.

‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ Sells Over 4 Million DVD Units in Two Days

Summit Entertainment announced today that the home entertainment release of the studio's action-packed, modern day vampire love story The Twilight Saga: New Moon sold just over 4 million DVD units in its first weekend of release. The tally surpasses the first weekend sales of Twilight in 2009 which sold 3.8 million DVD units, and went on to be the top selling DVD title of the year with 9.2 million units sold. The DVD launch of The Twilight Saga: New Moon commenced this past Saturday morning with 7,000 retail locations nationwide taking part in events at midnight giving fans their first chance to obtain a DVD of the film.

Thousands of Twilight fans across the nation participated in the "New Moon at Midnight" event and some were treated to surprise appearances by members of the cast as well as the film's director. Fans saw actors Justin Chon who plays Eric, Christian Serratos who plays Anglea, and Michael Welchh who plays Mike in Salt Lake City; director Chris Weitz and Nikki Reed who plays Rosalie Hale in Los Angeles; Peter Facinelli who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen in New York; Edi Gathegi who plays Laurent in Pittsburgh; and Elizabeth Reaser who plays Esme Cullen in Phoenix. Other cast members of The Twilight Saga: New Moon made appearances nationwide include Kiowa Gordon and Tinsel Korey in Cincinnati, Charlie Bewley in Denver; Chaske Spencer and Tyson Houseman in Atlanta; Daniel Cudmore in Houston; and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg in Seattle.
