Three ‘Lincoln’ Clips Featuring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Sally Field

DreamWorks Pictures has released three new clips from Lincoln, director Steven Spielberg's biopic that explores the tough decisions Honest Abe must make during the final months of his Presidency. The first scene features Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Robert Lincoln, pleading with his father (Daniel Day-Lewis) to let him enlist in the Civil War. The second clip shows Mary Todd Lincoln (Sally Field) engaging in some polite but pointed banter with Thaddeus Stevens (Tommy Lee Jones). The third scene shows Lincoln using a mathematical maxim to illustrate his point about slavery.

‘Lincoln’ Gets Sally Field

Two-time Academy Award winner Sally Field will star as Mary Todd Lincoln, wife to the 16th President of the United States, in DreamWorks Studios' Lincoln to be directed by Steven Spielberg. The announcement was made today by Spielberg and Stacey Snider, Co-Chairman and CEO of DreamWorks Studios.

Sally Field joins Daniel Day-Lewis, who has been cast to play Abraham Lincoln in the Spielberg film.

‘Spider-Man’ Eyes Sally Field for Aunt May

On the heels of the news less than an hour ago that Martin Sheen is playing Uncle Ben, Heat Vision Blog is now reporting that Sally Field is in talks to portray his wife Aunt May in the Untitled Spider-Man Reboot.

The actress is only in early talks for the role, though, so it isn't a locked-in certainty that Sally Field will play Aunt May, the character that is primarily responsible for raising young Peter Parker after Uncle Ben is killed.
