Sam Neill and Rosamund Pike Board ‘A Long Way Down’ Neill and Rosamund Pike have boarded french director Pascal Chaumeil's dramedy A Long Way Down. The project also stars Pierce Brosnan, Toni Collette, Imogen Poots, and Aaron Paul.

This adaptation of Nick Hornby's novel centers on four strangers, who meet on New Year's Eve at the top of a London skyscraper. Although they each intended to jump off the building to commit suicide, they make a pact to help each other confront their own demons.

‘The Hunter’ Trailer

Magnoia Pictures has released the first trailer for The Hunter, which is slated for release April 6. Click on the video player below for your first look at this thriller starring Willem Dafoe, Frances O'Connor, and Sam Neill.

The Hunter is the story of Martin, a skilled and ruthless mercenary sent into the Tasmanian wilderness on a hunt for a tiger believed to be extinct. Hired by an anonymous company that wants the tiger's genetic material, Martin arrives in Tasmania posing as a scientist. He proceeds to set up base camp at a broken-down farmhouse, where he stays with a family whose father has gone missing. Usually a loner, Martin becomes increasingly close to the family; however, as his attachment to the family grows, Martin is led down a path of unforeseen dangers, complicating his deadly mission.

Vera Farmiga and Mia Wasikowska Have ‘A View from a Bridge’

Actors Vera Farmiga, Mia Wasikowska, Sam Neill and Sebastian Stan have signed on to join Anthony LaPaglia in A View from the Bridge.

Anthony LaPaglia is also producing this adaptation of Arthur Miller's 1955 play and reprising his role of Eddie Carbone from the 1998 stage revival, which he won a Tony award for. The story centers on Carbone, a dockworker who is unhappily married to Beatrice (Vera Farmiga) while raising their niece Catherine (Mia Wasikowska). When Beatrice's cousins visit from Italy and become enamored with Catherine, Eddie becomes consumed with jealousy and rage. It isn't clear what roles Sam Neill and Sebastian Stan will play yet.

Sam Neill Boards ‘Alcatraz’

J.J. Abrams' latest TV endeavor Alcatraz has found a new cast member in Sam Neill, according to a Deadline report.

Sarah Jones is starring in the pilot as a cop who assists with a bizarre FBI investigation centering on a group of Alcatraz prisoners and guards who disappeared years ago and have now reappeared in present day. Sam Neill will play Emerson Hauer, who heads up a government agency.

Two-time Academy Award winner Jessica Lange and Sam Neill have joined the cast of Screen Gems and Spyglass Entertainment's romance The Vow. Lange and Neill will star opposite Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum in the film being directed by Michael Sucsy.

Spyglass' Roger Birnbaum, Gary Barber, and Jonathan Glickman are producing the project along with Paul Taublieb. Austin Hearst and Susan Cooper are executive producing. Cassidy Lange is co-producing.
