Sarah Paulson Returns for ‘American Horror Story’ Season 5

American Horror Story veteran Sarah Paulson is returning for the fifth installment Hotel, the next chapter in Ryan Murphy's hit anthology series for FX. AHS: Hotel represents Paulson's fifth appearance in the series, having previously starred in the recently completed AHS: Freak Show, as well as AHS: Coven, AHS: Asylum and AHS: Murder House. Paulson joins previously announced stars Lady Gaga, Kathy Bates, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, Wes Bentley and Chloë Sevigny.

Paulson has received two Primetime Emmy Award® nominations for American Horror Story and, among other awards, won the Critics Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Movie/Miniseries in 2011 for AHS: Asylum. Paulson starred as "Bette Tattler/Dot Tattler" in the most recent installment, Freak Show. Prior to that, she played "Cordelia Foxx" on AHS: Coven, "Lana Winters" on AHS: Asylum and "Billie Dean Howard" on AHS: Murder House.

‘American Horror Story’ Season 3 Plot Details Revealed!

Earlier today, I was invited down to the Fox lot to watch the American Horror Story: Asylum season finale "Madness Ends". While I won't spoil the fun for you, lets just say that some people die, and others actually live. We were joined by series creator Ryan Murphy, who offered some tantalizing tidbits about Season 3.

Back in November, FX renewed the series for Season 3 and confirmed Jessica Lange will be back to star. Ryan Murphy revealed that Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters are also returning, although he would not divulge any specifics regarding their characters.

Paul Giamatti and Sarah Paulson Join ‘12 Years a Slave’

Paul Giamatti and Sarah Paulson have joined the growing cast of 12 Years a Slave for director Steve McQueen (Shame). Scoot McNairy, Ruth Negga, and Garret Dillahunt have also recently signed on.

The story centers on Solomon Northrup, a New York man who was kidnapped in Washington D.C. in 1841, and sold to a Louisiana plantation. He was a slave for 12 years before being rescued. Paul Giamatti is playing Freeman, who takes possession of the slaves after they arrive in New Orleans. Sarah Paulson is playing the jealous wife of Michael Fassbender's character.
