Ryan Reynolds Circle ‘Selfless’ for Director Tarsem Singh

Ryan Reynolds is in talks to star in Endgame Entertainment and FilmDistrict's upcoming thriller Selfless. Tarsem Singh (Mirror Mirror; Immortals) is in talks to direct.

Carriers' writers Àlex and David Pastor penned the screenplay, which follows a rich older man who pays to have his mind transfered to a younger man's body. The body he is transplanted into turns out to be the cadaver of man who was murdered. He soon finds himself being hunted down by the killers as he tries to figure out why his new body was murdered in the first place.

Tarsem Singh to Direct ‘Killing on Carnival Row’

Tarsem Singh (Immortals) has signed on to direct Killing on Carnival Row, which has been in development since November 2005.

Travis Beacham wrote the script, which is set in a mystical city dubbed Burgue, where both humans and bizarre creatures co-exist. The plot centers around a serial killer roaming the streets of Burgue. Killing on Carnival Row is the first script Travis Beacham sold, which paved the way for his work on Clash of the Titans, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and Pacific Rim.

Tarsem Singh Wants to Direct Live-Action ‘Samurai Jack’

While doing press rounds for this weekend's Immortals, director Tarsem Singh was asked if he'd ever tackle the superhero genre. Tarsem explained that this did not interest him, but, in the same breath, revealed that his dream project at the moment is a live-action version of the Emmy-winning animated series Samurai Jack, which aired for three season on Cartoon Network starting in 2001.

A live-action Samurai Jack movie was set up at New Line Cinema in the early 2000s, with Brett Ratner attached at the helm. The rights has since reverted back to Cartoon Network.
