German actor Thomas Kretschmann, who is playing Baron Von Strucker in next year's Avengers: Age of Ultron, has signed on for the villain role in Agent 47, a reboot of 20th Century Fox's Hitman video game adaptation.
Rupert Friend stars as the title character, a deadly assassin with a barcode tattooed on the back of his bald head, with Zachary Quinto and Hannah Ware co-starring in unspecified roles. That is confirmed this morning as Thomas Kretschmann, who can currently be seen as Abraham van Helsing on NBC's Dracula, has signed onto play the role.
Baron Wolfgang von Strucker is a former Nazi officer who later became the head of H.Y.D.R.A. He is a sworn enemy of both Captain America and Nick Fury. It is unclear at this time how he will team up with the sentient artificial being known as Ultron, or if he is coming in as part of a secondary storyline that will have repercussions throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe.Read More
Empire has confirmed that actors Michael Caine, Emily Mortimer, Jason Isaacs, Joe Mantegna, Peter Jacobson and Thomas Kretschmann have signed on for voice roles in Cars 2.
