‘Conjuring 2’ Set Photos Reunite Vera Farmiga & Patrick Wilson

Back in September, production got under way on Warner Bros.' The Conjuring: The Enfield Poltergeist, which started with an actual priest arriving to bless the set. Last month, we got our first look at the Warrens, played by returning stars Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, in new set photos from director James Wan. Earlier this week, the filmmaker took to his Twitter and Instagram pages again to share even more photos from the set, featuring Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga and our first look at co-star Simon McBurney.

Production started in Los Angeles this fall, but the shooting has now shifted to London, with James Wan sharing photos of the cast outside of Marylebone Station. The London Underground station has been transformed to resemble the 1970s, and the director has also shared an interior shot, with a large camera crane being situated inside a London pub. Unfortunately, the filmmaker wouldn't shed any new light on the story quite yet, as production continues across the pond.

Last month, production got under way on the horror sequel The Conjuring: The Enfield Poltergeist, with director James Wan and New Line Cinema sending out the first set photos featuring a priest blessing the set. We haven't seen much since then, but today, James Wan released a new photo, which gives us our first look at stars Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson. The actors, along with their director, are seated next to a rather large recording device while shooting in Los Angeles.

Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson reprise their roles as Lorraine and Ed Warren from the 2013 thriller The Conjuring, based on their actual cases as paranormal investigators. The sequel's plot centers on one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, as they travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits. The Conjuring set a box office record with the highest opening weekend for an original horror film ($41.8 million), en route to a worldwide total of $319 million from a $20 million budget.
