Daddy's Home follows a mild-mannered radio executive (Will Ferrell) who strives to become the best stepdad to his wife's two children. But complications ensue when their freewheeling and freeloading real father (Mark Wahlberg) arrives, forcing him to compete for the affection of the kids. Paramount Pictures and Red Granite Pictures have released the new trailer for this raucous comedy. The movie opens in theaters everywhere on Friday, December 25.
Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg reunite for their second comedy, following the hit The Other Guys. This time out, they are not reluctant partners on the police force. The two competing dads suddenly find themselves in a heated competition for affection. One brings home a dog, the other brings home a pony. And this war only escalates from there. Sean Anders and John Morris co-direct this surefire hit, which also features an all-star ensemble of comedy greats including Linda Cardellini as the mom, Paul Scheer, Thomas Haden Church, Hannibal Buress and Alessandra Ambrosio.Read More
Of course Will Ferrell is getting his own bar. And of course fans are going to be pouring in from all over the country. Zach Neil and Brian Link have just opened Stay Classy New York on the lower east side of Manhattan. And it's a shrine not just to Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy but everything the actor has ever done.
The best part about this new bar is that is offers plenty of cocktails named after some of Will Ferrell's biggest hit comedies. And the artisanal menu comes packed with plenty of inside jokes from Anchorman. Step Brothers has spawned the 'Did We Just Become Best Friends?' double shot for you and your best friend, whom can redeem his shot at a later date. Order a Dirty Mike and the Boys from The Other Guys, and you'll be handed two draft beers and a house shot. And Anchorman has inspired the Glass Case of Emotion cocktail, which is muddled rosemary and peach, whiskey, lemon juice and simple syrup.Read More
HBO has released the first trailer for their upcoming comedy special Ferrell Takes the Field, a collaboration between the cable network, Will Ferrell's Funny or Die and Major League Baseball. This special follows Will Ferrell as he plays every baseball position on the field for 10 different teams, all over the course of one day. The special is dedicated to helping the charity Cancer for College, and airs Sunday, September 12 at 10 PM ET on HBO.
In a role filled with hopes and dreams, Will Ferrell went to five different spring training ballparks in Arizona. The special honors the historic feat of Bert Campaneris five decades ago by playing every position on the field, and maybe some off the field, for ten different teams in the same day. On Sept. 8, 1965, Bert "Campy" Campaneris, in only his second major league season, went 0-for-3 playing all nine positions for the Kansas City Athletics in a game against the California Angels.Read More
Following the first trailer that arrived last week, Lifetime has released an extended trailer for their upcoming TV movie A Deadly Adoption. Shot in secret last year, Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig "canceled" the release of this thriller when word leaked in April. But Lifetime has decided to air it anyway on Saturday, June 20 at 8 PM ET. The movie coincides with Lifetime's 25th Anniversary festivities, and while it is a parody of the network's original Lifetime movies, it's certainly more dramatic than humorous.
Inspired by a true story, A Deadly Adoption is a high-stakes dramatic thriller about a successful couple (Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig) who house and care for a pregnant woman (Jessica Lowndes) during the final months of her pregnancy with the hopes of adopting her unborn child. They soon find out that this pregnant woman has designs on tearing their family apart, from the inside out. Yahoo! TV describes the story as a cross between The Crush and The Hand That Rocks the Cradle.Read More
This is definitely not a joke, though it's still pretty funny! Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig are playing it straight in the first trailer for A Deadly Adoption. The movie was created for Lifetime's 25th Anniversary, and is not a spoof, but a true Lifetime movie starring these iconic comedic icons in the lead roles. Can you believe it? We almost can't!
Though carrying straight faces into this dark thriller, A Deadly Adoption is still poking fun at all the Lifetime movies that have come before it. Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig, both Saturday Night Live alums, star as a married couple who look after a pregnant woman in hopes of adopting her child. As you can see in this short teaser, things go off the rails pretty quickly. And it looks like Will Ferrell might be falling for this surrogate mom. Is that what sends Kristen Wiig careening over the edge?Read More
Back in April, we reported that Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig shot a secret Lifetime movie entitled A Deadly Adoption. The initial report revealed that the movie was slated to debut this summer on Lifetime, with the premiere coinciding with the network's 20th anniversary. Surprisingly, one day later, Will Ferrell canceled the project entirely, releasing a statement that he and his co-star were "deeply disappointed that our planned top secret project was made public." We never heard anything more about the project, but yesterday, a billboard for the movie was spotted on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, which reveals a June 20 premiere date.
Although the poster says A Deadly Adoption will air on "Sunday" June 20, the date actually falls on a Saturday, which is when the movie will actually air, according to insiders. The poster features both Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig, along with the tagline "The birth of a plan gone wrong." The story centers on a successful married couple (Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig) who take in a young pregnant woman (Jessica Lowndes), in hopes of adopting her child when she comes to term, when things go terribly wrong.Read More
