Peter Shinkoda has joined the cast of Marvel's Daredevil TV series for Netflix, playing a character named Hachiro in a recurring role.

The character appears to be created specifically for the TV series, since there is no mention of a Hachiro in the Marvel comic books. Of course, it's possible that it is just a fake name to throw fans off of his true identity, but the character is said to play a major role in the series.

He joins a cast that already includes Charlie Cox as Hell's Kitchen lawyer/vigilante Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Elden Henson as Matt's law partner Foggy Nelson and Rosario Dawson in an unspecified role that may be Elektra.

Production is already under way in New York City, with Marvel's Daredevil to be the first of four new Marvel Netflix shows, including Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones.

Peter Shinkoda most recently starred in Godzilla on the big screen, but he is perhaps best known for playing Dai on TNT's Falling Skies.
