In a story from Variety, Warner Bros. has hired Phil Lord and Chris Miller (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) to write and direct their Lego movie.
The film is going to be a mix of live action and animation. The studio is being tight lipped about the logline.
This project has been in development for over a year. The producers have made many trips to Denmark to work with Lego's executives on the concept.
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs made $125 million domestically and $118 million overseas. Phil Lord and Chris Miller are presently set to direct Sony's feature version of 21 Jump Street early next year.
