We reported last month that Bennett Miller's new baseball film was starting production in July and now it seems that cast is coming together. Variety is reporting that Philip Seymour Hoffman and Robin Wright are in early talks to join the cast of Moneyball.

If they seal the deal, Hoffman would portray Oakland A's manager Art Howe, who constantly conflicted with general manager Billy Beane's (Brad Pitt) unorthodox strategy. Wright would portray Beane's ex-wife.

Hoffman, who would be reunited with his Capote director Bennett Miller, and Wright would join a cast that already includes Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill and Rick Yudt.
