Pierce Brosnan has inked a deal to star in an upcoming adaptation of Stuart Neville's revenge novel titled Last Man Out.

The novel, called The Twelve, centers on a former IRA hitman, who does twenty years in prison for murder. After being plagued with the memory of his victims, he gets released from prison and vows revenge on his former employers.

Terry Loane is directing from a script by Craig Ferguson and Ted Mulkerin. Beau St. Clair, Steve Clark-Hall, Jonathan Loughran and Rebecca Tucker are producing.

Production is slated to begin at the end of this year.
