‘Piranha’ Gets the 3-D Treatment

Dimension Films has just announced that it will remake the classic horror film Piranha into a 3-D feature. According to Bloody-Disgusting, Alex Aja has signed on to direct the project.

Piranha is the story of a pack of razor-toothed fish terrorzing a small local lake. Residents struggle to deal with the situation and the horrible outcome it produces.

Dimension Films has scheduled the release of Piranha in 3-D for July 24th, 2009.

Piranha 3D was released August 20th, 2010.

Interesting! Now this should be 1 to see! A 3-D Horror film, Hope it's better than that Crappy Re-Make of "Night of the Living Dead" in 3-D! Now that was a bad film!

I wonder how the Orginial director Joe Dante feels about this!?

A side note on the "Orginial":

It was also produced by Roger Corman, "Piranha" is a parody of the 1975 film Jaws!

It seems more and more movies are turning to 3-D. I just like to watch a movie the old fashioned way without having to wear those friggin uncomfortable glasses.
