If you ever missed an episode of Pokemon, or any of the movies, today is your lucky day because very soon you will have the chance to catch em' all. As long as you have cable, satellite,or a streaming service that grants you access to Disney XD that is. The network has just announced that they have made a deal with The Pokemon Company and they are now the exclusive home to Pokémon in the U.S.

Disney XD will be officially kicking things off as the new home for Pokemon by debuting the brand new movie, Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel, which was announced on the official YouTube channel recently. That same night, the network will also be airing an hour-long preview of the Sun and Moon-themed upcoming season of the show, which is based on the video games that were just released. Pokemon The Series: Sun & Moon will air on Disney XD in 2017.

This new deal between The Pokemon Company and Disney XD isn't limited to new content, though. The network will also have the exclusive rights in the U.S. to air all previous 19 seasons of the series, which equates to about 900 episodes, as well as the 15 Pokemon movies. It is a safe bet that the series and the movies will soon become a heavy part of the regular rotation on Disney XD.

Pokemon has remained popular ever since it first arrived in 1996, but it has received a bit of a spike in renewed popularity thanks to the mobile game Pokemon GO. That renewed popularity even pushed Legendary Pictures to finally move ahead with a live-action Pokemon movie, which will reportedly be based on the Detective Pikachu game. Outside of that, the renewed interest in the U.S. will also likely make the Disney XD deal very mutually beneficial, as fans will be happy that Pokemon has a fitting home here and Disney likes to make money.

There is no word yet on a specific premiere date for Pokemon The Series: Sun & Moon, but it is set to debut in 2017. As for Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel, be sure to tune into Disney XD on December 5.
