Just over a year ago, Universal Pictures announced that production had gotten under way on a secret project from the comedic trio known as The Lonely Island, which is comprised of Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer. Very little was known about the project at the time, but it was eventually revealed to be a parody of the pop music world entitled Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, which is set for release on June 3. Back in March, we got our first look at this comedy with the red band trailer, but now we have the second trailer that is suitable for all ages.

Universal Pictures' Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping goes behind the scenes as singer/rapper Conner4Real (Samberg) faces a crisis of popularity after his sophomore album flops, leaving his fans, sycophants and rivals all wondering what to do when he's no longer the dopest star of all. The supporting cast includes Imogen Poots, Sarah Silverman, Jorma Taccone, Mike Birbiglia, James Buckley, Tim Meadows, Lili Sepe and Akiva Schaffer. This new comedy will be going up against Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows when it hits theaters nationwide on June 3.

The latest comedy from blockbuster producer Judd Apatow (Trainwreck, Superbad, Knocked Up) also features many of the biggest names in comedy and music in cameo performances. Co-directed by Schaffer and Taccone and written by The Lonely Island trio, Popstar is also produced by Rodney Rothman (producer of Get Him to the Greek, Forgetting Sarah Marshall; co-writer of 22 Jump Street), as well as Samberg, Schaffer and Taccone. The Lonely Island trio previously collaborated on the 2007 comedy Hot Rod, along with several "Digital Shorts" during their tenure on Saturday Night Live.

Some of the most notable shorts include their Emmy-winning "D**k in a Box" (with Justin Timberlake), "Lazy Sunday" (a rap about The Chronicles of Narnia) and "The Natalie Portman Rap," "YOLO (featuring Adam Levine & Kendrick Lamar)," "I Just Had Sex (featuring Akon)" and "I'm on a Boat (featuring T-Pain)." The Lonely Island's debut album, "Incredibad," was released by Universal Republic in February 2009 and is the first comedy album to reach No. 1 on iTunes.

In addition to this new trailer, we also have a new poster and photos from Popstar, which gives us a closer look at Conner4Real. While it has never been explicitly stated that the Connor character is a parody of Justin Bieber, there is plenty of evidence to support it, with this new trailer showing footage of a baby Conner delivering an amazing performance on the drums, presumably mocking footage of a young Bieber at the drum kit. We also see footage of Conner showing off his "skills" on the basketball court as an adult, which could be mocking the basketball videos Bieber has sent out in the past. Take a look at the new trailer, poster and photos for Popster: Never Stop Stopping.
