Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein from IFC's hit original comedy Portlandia are embarking on a unique six city tour bringing the romanticized and dreamy rendering of Portland, OR to life for fans across the country. Portlandia: The Tour will feature Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein, the co-creators, writers and stars of Portlandia, performing live music, presenting sneak-peek clips from the show's second season and sharing personal anecdotes about the creation and inspiration of Portlandia and its variety of eccentric characters. Portlandia: The Tour is presented by IFC and Broadway Video in support of Portlandia Season 2 which premieres on IFC Friday, January 6, 2012 at 10pm ET/PT. Some of Portlandia's most loved and notable characters from season one return for season two including Portland's Reggae bass playing Mayor (Kyle MacLachlan); Peter and Nance, an overly eco-conscious couple; and Toni and Candice, the shopkeepers of the feminist bookstore, "Women and Women First."

There will also be an array of new residents inhabiting Portlandia this season including Doug and Claire, a couple whose lives spin out of control when they run out of new episodes of their favorite TV show; Gil and Merrill, a two-piece band in search of a gimmick; and Malcolm and Kris, overprotective parents who hover over their kid.

Guest stars this season include Penny Marshall, Jack McBrayer, Tim Robbins, Andy Samberg, Amber Tamblyn and Kristen Wiig as well as musicians Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse, Steve Jones, guitarist for The Sex Pistols, Johnny Marr , guitarist for The Smiths), Joanna Newsom, Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, and Annie Clark of St. Vincent.
