A Power Rangers reboot has been a long time coming and Lionsgate is finally giving us exactly that. The movie is set to hit theaters next year, but we still haven't seen a whole lot of actual full-on Power Rangers action. This may not be action, but it at least gives us a good look at the new Power Rangers suits, as well as the newly designed Rita Repulsa costume. Also, donuts.

Instagram user Michael Wong recently posted several Power Rangers photos to his account. They feature a couple of great looks at the new Ranger costumes, which were recently on display, though he declined to specify where this Power Rangers display was. Either way, they offer a pretty good look which is nice, because the actual costumes were pretty much absent from the first trailer. They were teased at the very end, but we are still waiting to see the costumes in action, so this will have to do for now. As an added bonus, he posted a photo of Krispy Kreme's new Power Rangers inspired donut as well.

While this new movie appears to be a pretty massive departure and update from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers of the 90s, it is very clear that the producers of the movie are keeping many of the elements that fans loved about the show intact. These new images definitely give a slightly better look at the new costumes, which sort of have a Iron Man influenced design, as opposed to just being made of cheap fabric, that never seemed ideal or practical for combat. Even with the heavy redesign, they do still invoke the same feel as the original costumes from the show did. We also know that Zords will be showing up in the movie, which is hopefully something fans will get to see in the next trailer, whenever Lionsgate decides to unleash that.

It is hard to know if Lionsgate did right by Power Rangers fans yet, but the studio has assembled an impressive cast. Bill Hader was recently announced as the voice of Alpha 5 and Bryan Cranston, who did some voice work on the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers show, will be playing Zordon in this new version. The Power Rangers themselves are being played by promising up-and-comers. Me and Earl and the Dying Girl's RJ Cyler is playing the Blue Ranger with Darce Montgomery as the Red Ranger, Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger, Ludi Lin as the Black Ranger and Becky G as the Yellow Ranger.

We still have about 5 months to wait until the movie drops, but we will definitely be getting a couple more trailers before then, which should help get us more excited and hopefully show off more of the classic Power Rangers imagery. For now, these new images will have to do. Power Rangers is being directed by Dean Israelite and is set for release on March 24, 2017. Be sure to check out the new images for yourself below.
