The FX pilot Powers is currently shooting in Chicago, although they recently added a new cast member. Titus Welliver (Lost, Sons of Anarchy) has come aboard Powers to play Triphammer.

The character is described as equal parts genius and narcissist, a wealthy and powerful man who has invented a device which can give ordinary people super powers, and take the powers away as well. If FX picks up the pilot to series, Titus Welliver's Triphammer will be a recurring character.

The story centers on detectives Christian Walker (Jason Patric) and Deena Pilgrim (Lucy Punch), who work in a special police unit known as Powers. The unit solves crimes committed by and against those with super powers, in a world where super powers are commonplace. Charles S. Dutton plays the unit's boss, Captain Cross.

Charles H. Eglee (The Shield) wrote the pilot script for Powers, which is adapted from the comic book created by Brian Bendis and Michael Avon. It isn't known when FX will make a decision on whether or not to green light Powers to series.
