Last week, production began on AMC's Preacher, and we've already gotten our first look at series star Dominic Cooper on the set. Shooting is still going strong on the pilot episode, and last night Seth Rogen, who is co-directing the pilot episode with Evan Goldberg, sent out the latest photo. Unfortunately, this image was taken from afar, so it isn't ultimately clear who is featured, but it appears to show two nuns chatting with a cop as an ambulance looks on.

We can also see plenty of snow on the ground, and Texas isn't exactly known for its winter climate. The vehicles seen in the background feature Russian words, so it seems this particular scene is set somewhere in Russia, but it isn't known how this scene fits into the overall story line. How could this Russian church be connected to a small town Texas Preacher? We'll have to wait and see.

The series stars Dominic Cooper as Jesse Custer, a Texas preacher who merges with a supernatural entity that gives him the power to make anyone do as he commands. After discovering that God has literally abandoned his post in heaven, Jesse goes on a journey with his ex-girlfriend Tulip (Ruth Negga) and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) to literally find God. The supporting cast is rounded out by Lucy Griffiths as Emily, Ian Colletti as Arseface, W. Earl Brown as Hugo Root, Elizabeth Perkins as Vyla Quinncannon and Jamie Anne Allman and Derek Wilson as a married couple created specifically for the TV series. Check out the latest photo from the Preacher set, and stay tuned for more in the near future. A teaser may show up any day.
