ABC wants a full season of legal drama. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has given a full-season order to Private Practice.

The series is the network's anchor on Wednesday nights, leading a trio of shows whose first seasons were all interrupted by last year's writer's strike. Private Practice has the highest ratings of the three.

The back-nine order is just the latest in a string of full-season pickups across the dial. Knight Rider was just picked up for a full season yesterday and Chuck, The Mentalist, Fringe, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and 90210 have already received back-nine orders this season.
