While the new James Bond film doesn't open in the States for another two weeks, it's already shaking things up overseas. According to Variety, Quantum of Solace has taken in $38.6 million from just 2,123 theaters in the United Kingdom, France and Sweden.

The bulk of that total came from the record-breaking $25.3 million it took in from the 1,150 theaters in the United Kingdom, breaking the three-day launch record set by Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

The $10.6 million French rollout was also a record, besting the previous Daniel Craig Bond film, Casino Royale and the $2.7 million Swedish debut was the country's fourth highest.
