Robert Knepper has joined the cast of R.I.P.D.
The Universal Pictures graphic novel adaptation R.I.P.D. has added actor Robert Knepper to the cast.

The actor, who is best known for playing Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell on Prison Break, will portray one of the spirits known as "deados." Ryan Reynolds stars as a newcomer to the Rest in Peace Department, which is comprised of slain police officers who are tasked with bringing unwilling souls into the afterlife. Jeff Bridges plays Ryan Reynolds' partner, a longtime R.I.P.D. officer.

Robert Schwentke is directing R.I.P.D. from a screenplay by Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi. The project is adapted from the Peter M. Lenkov graphic novel of the same name.

R.I.P.D. started principal photography last week in Boston. A June 28, 2013 release date has already been set.
