According to Variety, Touchstone Pictures and Summit Entertainment have tapped Emmy-winner Rachel Griffiths ("Six Feet Under") to star in their Untitled Music High Project, now shooting in Baltimore.

Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan and bestselling recording artist Mario also star.

Film follows a rebellious teen (Tatum) who must do community service at a performing arts high school, then joins the cast of a show after he falls in love with a dancer (Dewan).

Mario will play a student who befriends him. Griffiths is playing the school principal.

The pic is directed by Anne Fletcher, the longtime choreographer for Adam Shankman. Shankman is producing along with his Offspring Entertainment partner, Jennifer Gibgot. Pic is the first they've produced that he's not helming.

Script was penned by Duane Adler (Save The Last Dance) and Melissa Rosenberg ("The OC"). The pic started shooting September 12.
