Ray Liotta has become the latest to join the high-profile cast of Andrew Dominik's Cogan's Trade. Mark Ruffalo and Javier Bardem were also confirmed as cast members.

Ray Liotta will play Mark "Markie" Trautmann in Cogan's Trade, a gambler who sets up a poker game in a motel room, which is later robbed, despite being run under mob protection. Brad Pitt will play the mafia enforcer who investigates the robbery.

Andrew Dominik is directing Cogan's Trade from a script he adapted from the George V. Higgins novel. Production will start later this month, with filming to take place in New Orleans.

A 2012 release is being planned for Cogan's Trade.
