As Resident Evil: The Final Chapter continues to shoot in Cape Town, South Africa, more of the cast have shared photos from the set. This gives us our first look at newcomers Ruby Rose, Eoin Macken, William Levy and Japanese model Rola. They are all suited up and ready to bash heads as a new group of zombie hunters traversing the apocalyptic wasteland. We also get a few new glimpses of Ali Larter, who returns as the red-maned Claire Redfield.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter will be the sixth and last installment of the live-action film series based on the popular video game. Paul W.S. Anderson is returning to direct, with an early 2017 release date in place. Milla Jovovich, who has appeared in every film to date, will reprise her role as Alice. Also returning from previous installments are Iain Glen, who played Dr. Isaacs in 2004's Resident Evil: Apocalypse and 2007's Resident Evil: Extinction, and Shawn Roberts, who played Albert Wesker in 2010's Resident Evil: Afterlife and the previous installment, 2012's Resident Evil: Retribution.

Picking up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution, humanity is on its last legs after Alice is betrayed by Wesker in Washington D.C. As the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity's final stand against the undead hordes, Alice must return to where the nightmare began, Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse. In a race against time, Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in an action packed battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between losing her superhuman abilities and Umbrella's impending attack, this will be Alice's most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity, which is on the brink of oblivion.

As shooting continues throughout the fall, fans are being offered a first-hand look at the production courtesy of its stars. Milla Jovovich was one of the first big celebrities to utilize social media in sharing a bird's eye view into what life is like on set. And her cast mates are gleefully jumping in. Director Paul W.S. Anderson has become quite proficient at offering cool sneak peeks while retaining some of the mystery and surprises he has in store. Here, we get a good look at the costumes, and some of the comradery that will surely play out on screen.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is said to bring this franchise back to its core roots. This will be Paul W.S. Anderson's fourth time directing a Resident Evil movie. Though his wife has appeared in all 6 live-action adventures, he skipped out on the second and third films, 2004's Resident Evil: Apocalypse, and 2007's Resident Evil: Extinction, though he did help out with the screenplays for both movies. He did return to direct Resident Evil: Afterlife in 2010, and he directed the previous installment, 2012's Resident Evil: Retribution. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter will be in theaters January 2017. Who's excited?
