It was 20th Century Fox's turn to hit the stage at CinemaCon 2012 today, with the studio rolling out footage from Prometheus, Life of Pi, Neighborhood Watch, and other titles. Fox Filmed Entertainment CEO Tom Rothman also announced that the Untitled Rise of the Planet of the Apes Sequel is definitely happening.

We reported back in November that Andy Serkis, who portrayed the ape Caesar through motion capture technology, has actually signed on for two sequels. It isn't known if Rise of the Planet of the Apes director Rupert Wyatt will return for the sequel, although we reported last August that he has several ideas brewing for the follow-up.

In related Fox news, the studio announced The Wolverine will begin shooting in August, with James Mangold directing from a screenplay by Christopher McQuarrie and Mark Bomback. Ben Stiller's The Secret Life of Walter Mitty will also go into production sometime this year.
