T.J. Miller has landed one of the two lead roles in the Columbia Pictures comedy Road to Nardo.

The actor will play one of two roommates who set off on a road trip to save their friend, Nardo, who is alone and naked in Mexico. T.J. Miller's character is said to be a wise-talking, sloppy young man whose main ambitions are to drink, gamble, and hook up with random women.

This will be the first starring role for T.J. Miller, after supporting turns in Cloverfield, Extract, She's Out of My League, Unstoppable, and Yogi Bear.

The Hangover Part II writer Scot Armstrong will make his directorial debut with Road to Nardo, working from a screenplay by Andrew Waller and Mike Gagerman. We first reported on this project in March 2010, when Columbia Pictures purchased the screenplay.

No production schedule was given for Road to Nardo.
