‘RoboCop’ First Look Set Photos of Joel Kinnaman in His Cyborg Suit!

That ol' whippersnapper Ed Douglas has landed two set photos from director José Padilha's RoboCop, a remake of the seminal 1987 sci-fi classic originally directed by Paul Verhoeven. These first two images offer us a pretty good view of Joel Kinnaman in his cyborg suit. The actor plays Officer Murphy, a cop who is left for dead after a bust gone bad, only to be brought back to life through the use of advanced robotics. The original suit worn by Peter Weller has become an iconic and instantly recognizable part of pop culture. This new black suit (one of a reported four different suits that will be used throughout the film), with its lifting face visor, on the other hand, looks like a background actor's costume from the recent Total Recall remake. Fans of the original movie will surely call blasphemy. Not sure what those new to this franchise will think. Please leave your comments below.

By request, these photos have been removed.

RoboCop was released February 12th, 2014.

I don't like it. Looks like a blacked out Iron Man suit or the Batsuit without the cape and ears. It has no bulk like the original and does not look tough. Hope ED-209 smashes him.

This film has great potential, but i still not feeling this suit...it looks like any other uniforms from many sci-fi films.

That suit looks horrid! Ugh! No tone, no style! It looks like a sh*tty costume from a bad sci-fi series for kids! That's not RoboCop - it's Man-in-a-Rubber-Suit-Cop! Ugh! What's wrong with just doing a slight new spin on the old suit we know and love???

Cropping the picture and passing it off without source, a new low? Quite sad to see such a thing, try harder next time.

Looks like a suit, the old robocop really looks like a robot with whats left of a body messed in. This is no different to me than ironman, master cheif, or judge dredd. Robocop is Robocop, I dont know who this dude is. They could have at least mixed in elements from the old look.... like the breast plate or rubber torso and neck, or how about the color silver and eye visor/helmet. I hope the CGI brings this costume a long ways. Im pretty heart broken.

I really like that suit but this shouldn't be Robocop, like Green Hornet shouldn't of been Green Hornet they would of been better off calling it something else and these two guy were inspired by the Green Hornet and Kato and called themselves Stinger and The fly or something stupid like that, and This Robocop movie dont get me wrong might end up being a really good movie but shouldnt of been called Robocop it could of been like "we have the technology to make a real life Robocop" and give him a bad-ass name... But you never know some reboots are good some suck lets just wait and see.
