‘RoboCop’ Set Photos Offer First Look at Abbie Cornish as Ellen Murphy

Production on the RoboCop remake is in full swing, shooting across Toronto, Canada as we speak. On Saturday, we got our first look at star Joel Kinnaman in his full RoboCop cyborg body suit. Now, we have more pictures from the set, which offer our first look at Abbie Cornish as Ellen Murphy, Alex Murphy's wife. We also get a look at a couple of futuristic police cars, two motorcycles, and a civilian automobile. Oh, and there are a couple of new shots featuring Joel Kinnaman as Alex Murphy without his face visor pulled down.

A couple of things about the photos in question. The suit is one of four that Joel Kinnaman will wear throughout the movie. The suit pictured here, and seen on Saturday, is the S.W.A.T. suit. Alex Murphy will don the more traditional silver, black, and red suit when he is protecting the streets as a beat officer. As mentioned by the actor in previous interviews, RoboCop's helmet is designed so that you will see his face. The pictures here are a good representation of what Joel Kinnaman will look like most of the time, as he will often have his visor up when not in combat.

One last thing...As this is a tale about Detroit and its futuristic police force, do any of you find it strange that they are shooting in Toronto, Canada? Especially knowing that Detroit offers plenty of tax incentives? And does RoboCop always have one flesh hand?

By request, these photos have been removed.

RoboCop was released February 12th, 2014.

The police car looks badass. A major step up from the original plain matte black Ford Taurus. The two pictures of the motorcyles do not look very modern.

@mieko-siede Oh that is not the whole show... the next movement is The Wolf... very fast paced and the majority of it is a Drumline solo... Followed by an Epilogue...

@mieko-siede I enjoy it... I will say the downfall to the show is that it does require the voice overs you heard... they just take the story telling of Little Red Riding Hood to that next level... They did take first place with it... But that is just one competition down... still have until November to get them Championship ready!

@mcleve02 Regardless to the audio quality it sounds fantastic. I really enjoyed listening to that. Beyond the talent of composition, the band has a really sharp sound that makes all the dynamics come together in a crisp unified sound.

@mcleve02 Oddly, I like the development of this. I'm curious to see what the other suits look like.

                                Let's see,

A futuristic setting that looks like something from a horror Science Fiction movies, combined with a suit that looks like a cross between Batmans retarded brother and the retarded Performance Enhancing GI-Joe Super Suits combined with stupid looking Back To The Future cars and not a very rustic look like the first.

Remaking a classic like Robocop, is probably just as equally stupid as making a Prequel to The Thing and telling people it's not a remake, but it actually was.

This movie is an abomination and discgrace, and I wouldn't even watch it for a $1.00. I would bet everything I own that this will be rated PG-13, and will not have that brutal shooting that haunted my dreams for years as young adult.

                                "Give the man a hand"
