Last week, Entertainment Weekly debuted a bunch of new photos from the hugely anticipated Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Today, we have a number of these photos now released in High-Res, giving us an even better look at the new heroes and villains joining the Star Wars universe. These come just one week before Rogue One arrives at Star Wars Celebration in Europe, where a lot of fun surprises are planned for this first of many Star Wars spinoffs.

The images show off the new heroes Jyn Erso, played by Felicity Jones and her partner in this dangerous Rebel spy mission, Diego Luna's Captain Cassian Andor. We also get to see Donnie Yen as Chirrut Imwe and Jiang Wen's Baze, who have been described as the R2-D2 and C-3PO of the movie. Also in these images is Riz Ahmed's Bodhi Rook, the lead pilot of this Rebel squad. On the villain side, we are introduced to Ben Mendelsohn's Director Orson Krennic. We also get to see images of the Death Troopers and some gorgeous shots of the classic Stormtroopers against what can only be described as a South Pacific setting.

Forest Whitaker is also seen as his character Saw Gerrera. While many classic Star Wars characters have appeared in both animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, Whitaker's character marks the first time that a new animated character in this universe is being brought to live-action on the big screen. Saw Gerrera played a big part in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and now we get to see what became of the Clone War vet.

Looking closely at one of the Death Trooper photos, you'll notice the shiny black soldier holding what appears to be a Stormtrooper doll while standing on the beach. It is described as a "galactic version of a toy soldier." While it might seem like a throwaway shot, this doll will actually play an important role in the story. Decades later Rey (Daisy Ridley) will fashion a similar doll, although it will be an X-Wing pilot. We also get to see a couple of behind-the-scenes shots, one from the Yavin-4 base, which we can see is quite diverse. And a direct tie back to A New Hope. Here's what Kiri Hart had to say.

"People are coming to the Rebellion because something has happened that has galvanized or politicized them. The question just becomes: What are those triggers for different people in different places?"

It has already been confirmed that Gareth Edwards and Kathleen Kennedy will be at Star Wars Celebration this month, along with the cast, to present a special Rogue One panel. On that same day, July 15, ABC will debut a brand new 3-minute trailer for this Star Wars adventure. The new trailer is set to premiere during the documentary Secrets of The Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey, airing at 8 p.m. It's possible that the trailer will arrive earlier that morning during the big Celebration Q&A. While we await all the fun and surprises that Star Wars Celebration and Comic-Con have in store over the next few weeks, take a look at these exciting high-res images.
