True Jackson, VP's Keke Palmer has reportedly been asked to join the cast of Marvel's comic book adaptation Runaways, according to an interview she gave to Essence Magazine. Here's an excerpt from the magazine's interview with the 17-year-old actress:

"I've had a nice little break with the steady TV show but I'm definitely ready to do some more films again. I was just asked to join a new Marvel comic project called, Runaways."

It wasn't clear if she accepted the role, or what that role may be. We reported earlier this month that Runaways would start filming in March, despite having no cast in place yet. Peter Sollett is directing the movie from a script by Drew Pearce, which is adapted from Brian K. Vaughan's comic book series.

The story revolves around a group of teenagers who discover their parents are actually leading double-lives as super villains. They branch off on their own and discover they have superpowers like their parents before them.
