Running Scared: M8 Entertainment Inc., a leading Canadian film entertainment company, announced today that principal photography has been completed on its big budget action/drama feature film Running Scared. Running Scared, which is writer-director Wayne Kramer's follow up to his critically acclaimed film The Cooler, stars Paul Walker (The Fast and the Furious, 2 Fast 2 Furious), child star Cameron Bright (The Butterfly Effect, Godsend), award-winning actress Vera Farmiga (The Manchurian Candidate), and Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri (Bullets Over Broadway, The Usual Suspects).

"We're extremely pleased with the way Running Scared has turned out thus far," said M8's Sammy Lee, a producer on the film. "Wayne is a highly talented director with a strong vision, and we expect that Running Scared will really reflect his ability to bring out great performances, along with delivering a great action packed storyline," further added Lee.

Running Scared was filmed in New Jersey, with additional scenes filmed in Prague. Running Scared is being produced by Michael A. Pierce, Brett Ratner, and M8's Sammy Lee. Andrew Pfeffer, Stewart Hall, Andreas Grosch, and Andreas Schmid are serving as executive producers.

In the gritty, pulse-pounding Running Scared, Mr. Walker plays Joey, a low level gangster who has only one night to get back his gun with the help of his son (Bright) and his wife (Farmiga), after a neighbor's boy steals it. However, Joey and his family encounter many obstacles and increasing danger as the night progresses.

Following the success of its Academy Award winning film Monster, M8 Entertainment is actively gearing up production in its strategy of producing, financing and distributing six films a year. Principal photography has also recently been completed on M8's Lovewrecked, a teen comedy film starring Amanda Bynes (What a Girl Wants), Chris Carmack (Fox TV's "The O.C."), Jamie- Lynn DiScala (HBO's "The Sopranos"), and Jonathan Bennett (Mean Girls), and directed by veteran comedy director Randal Kleiser (Grease, Honey I Blew Up the Kid).

M8 Entertainment's slate of upcoming releases includes the Mike Binder- directed The Upside of Anger, a bittersweet comedy slated to be released in the US in December through New Line Cinema, and stars three-time Academy Award nominee Joan Allen, two-time Academy Award winner Kevin Costner, Erika Christensen, Evan Rachel Wood, Keri Russell, and Alicia Witt. Also upcoming is Santa's Slay, an action infused horror-comedy that casts everyone's favorite holiday figure, Santa, in an entirely new and sinister light. M8 Entertainment is co-producing Santa's Slay with Brett Ratner (director of mega-box office hits Rush Hour, Rush Hour 2, and Red Dragon), and the film features WWE wrestling star Goldberg as the devilish Santa Claus, alongside up-and-coming young stars Douglas Smith (State's Evidence, Sleepover) and Emilie de Ravin ("Roswell"). Also shortly forthcoming is Havoc, Academy Award winner Stephen Gaghan's (Traffic) searing story of teen culture as it clashes with the real world of urban Latino gangsters, directed by two-time Oscar winner Barbara Kopple, and starring Anne Hathaway (Princess Diaries 2) and Bijou Phillips (Bully).
