We're excited to share the second trailer for Anchor Bay Entertainment's upcoming thriller Kite, based on the groundbreaking, cult classic anime by Yasuomi Umetsu. The story follows a young woman who trains to become an assassin after her parents are murdered. Samuel L. Jackson stars as the girl's father's ex-partner, who teaches Sawa to become a more proficient killer.

Check out the latest footage before Kite makes its way to theaters this October after debuting exclusively on DirecTv this August.

Kite tells the story of Sawa (India Eisley), a young woman living in a corrupt society where crime and gangs terrorize the streets. When Sawa's mother and policeman father are found victims of a grisly double homicide, she begins a ruthless pursuit for the man who murdered them. With the help of her father's ex-partner, Karl Aker (Samuel L. Jackson), and a mysterious friend from her past (Callan McAuliffe), she becomes a merciless teen assassin, blasting her way through the dark world of human trafficking only to uncover a devastating truth.

The film will premiere exclusively on DIRECTV on August 28th, followed by a theatrical/VOD release on October 10th.
