Warner Bros. has given the disaster film San Andreas: 3D a June 5, 2015 release date. Dwayne Johnson is starring with Brad Peyton set to direct.

The project centers a helicopter pilot (Dwayne Johnson), who goes on a mission to find his missing daughter in the aftermath of disastrous California earthquake. Andre Fabrizio and Jeremy Passmore wrote the original script with Allan Loeb providing a second draft.

Dwayne Johnson previously worked with Brad Peyton on the family film Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. The action star will next be seen in Hercules: The Thracian Wars and Fast & Furious 7.

The film shares the date with DreamWorks Animation's comedy B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations. Universal Pictures' Jurassic World will also release the weekend after.
