In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Sandra Bullock will be starring in The Blind Side.

Director John Lee Hancock will be helming the picture for Alcon Entertainment.

The film is based on the novel by Michael Lewis, The Blind Side: Evolution of the Game.

The film follows the real life football player Michael Oher, who should be one of the first players picked in the 2009 NFL draft. Oher's story is even more poignant considering he was a homeless black teen who went to live with a well off white family.

Bullock will take on the role of Leigh Anne Touhy, the head of the conservative family in which Oher lives.
