Saoirse Ronan is moving into the world of comedy, signing on for the lead role in director Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel.

No details were given for the actress' character, which is expected since there is very little known about the plot. All that is known about the story is that it is set 85 years ago in a Hungarian hotel. The comedy is reportedly inspired by the classic work of directors Billy Wilder and Ernst Lubitsch. Bill Murray, Ralph Fiennes, Jude Law, Jason Schwartzman, and Owen Wilson are also attached to star.

Wes Anderson is directing from his own original screenplay. He will also produce alongside Scott Rudin and Indian Paintbrush's Steven M. Rales. Production is scheduled to begin next year in Germany.

Saoirse Ronan will next be seen in The Host, an adaptation of Twilight author Stephenie Meyer's new novel.
