When we first reported on Sony Pictures' Sausage Party back in September, it wasn't immediately clear if co-writers Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill will also have voice roles in the R-rated animated comedy. Today, we have confirmation that both actors will be a part of the voice cast, along with their This Is the End co-stars James Franco, Michael Cera and David Krumholtz, with Kristen Wiig, Edward Norton and Nick Kroll also signing on for voice roles.

The story follows a sausage who falls out of his shopping cart, and goes on a journey with some new friends through the supermarket to find his way back home before the dreaded 4th of July sale. Back in October, co-writer Evan Goldberg revealed that the film is an "existential mock-Pixar movie," which attempts to take Pixar "down a notch," despite how much he loves their movies.

No details were given for which characters these voice actors will play. Conrad Vernon (Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted) and Greg Tiernan are directing from a script written by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir, based on a story by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Jonah Hill. Megan Ellison is producing through her Annapurna Pictures company, with James Weaver, Jonah Hill, Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir executive producing.

It isn't known when production will begin, although Sony Pictures is eyeing a 2015 theatrical release.
