Tonight's MTV Movie Awards featured a number of sneak peeks from upcoming movies, but MTV also used the awards ceremony to debut the first trailer for their new TV series Scream. The network also announced that the show will debut on June 30. The show is based on director Wes Craven's hit movie franchise of the same name.

In the Scream TV Series, everyone has secrets. Everyone tells lies. Everyone is fair game. What starts as a YouTube video going viral, soon leads to problems for the teenagers of Lakewoodand serves as the catalyst for a murder that opens up a window to the town's troubled past. Bex Taylor-Klaus, Willa Fitzgerald, John Karna, Connor Weil and Amadeus Serafini star in the new TV series.

Bella Thorne is also featured in the series premiere's opening scenes, which appear to be a rendition of the original Scream first scene, where Drew Barrymore is chased throughout her house and eventually killed in a brutal fashion. Does this mean Bella Thorne will not survive the first episode? We'll have to wait and see when the show debuts on June 30, so check out the trailer below and stay tuned for more details.
