Robert Rodriguez hit attendees of his Comic-Con panel with the announcement that he's teamed with the estate of fantasy artist Frank Frazetta for a live-action take on his Fire and Ice. The feature will be based on Frazetta's work and the previous 1983 animated version of the film.

Rodriguez wants to apply the same dedication he did with Sin City and creator Frank Miller. He showcased his enthusiasm for the project by showing off a slew of stills which featured Frazetta's fantastical works.

The filmmaker will also work closely with the estate to help open a museum of Frazetta's work in Austin, Texas.
